The Red Carpet rolls out in Mykonos: Fouquet’s Brings Parisian chic to the Aegean
Les îles Grecs are getting a serious serving of French art de vivre. The renowned Barrière Group has officially announced that its legendary Fouquet’s brand is touching down in Mykonos, marking a glittering new chapter for the hotel group as it moves into the heart of the Aegean Sea.
Following openings in Paris, NYC, Courchevel, and St. Barts, the move to Mykonos is a natural evolution for a brand synonymous with high-octane glamour. For decades, the Fouquet’s name has been anchored by its flagship on the Champs-Élysées—a place where cinema stars and heads of state rub shoulders. Now, that same spirit of “exceptional hospitality” is being recalibrated for the sun-drenched shores of the world’s most famous party island.
A Strategic Mediterranean Landmark
This expansion isn’t just about a new view; it’s a calculated move to follow the world’s most discerning travelers to their favorite summer haunts. By establishing a presence in Mykonos, Barrière reaffirms its ambition to scale its luxury brands into strategic international destinations. The resort promises an experience at the sophisticated intersection of:
Gastronomy: Bringing the refined culinary DNA of the Parisian brasserie to local Greek ingredients.
Hospitality: Impeccable, personalized service that mirrors the group’s “Maison” philosophy.
The Art of Living: Blending the vibrant energy of Mykonos with the timeless elegance of French luxury.
The Partnership
The project is being developed in partnership with the Yoda Group and will be operated by the Barrière Group under a management agreement. This collaboration ensures that while the aesthetic remains quintessentially Fouquet’s, the resort will seamlessly integrate into the unique landscape and culture of the island.
For the loyal clientele of the Barrière Group, the message is clear: whether you are skiing in the Alps, strolling through Manhattan, or now, watching the sunset over the Aegean, the red carpet is always waiting. Mykonos has always been glamorous, but with the arrival of Fouquet’s, it just found its joie de vivre.
Says Grégory Rabuel, CEO of the Barrière Group:
“The opening of Fouquet’s Mykonos marks an important milestone in our international expansion. By establishing our first presence in Greece, we are pursuing our ambition to accompany our guests to the destinations they travel to, with venues that combine excellence, identity, and emotion. Mykonos was an obvious choice, thanks to its ability to bring together natural beauty, cultural influence, and international appeal.”
Fouquet’s Mykonos opens on June 27th.
